British actor Andy Serkis debunked all the "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors as he claimed that he won't play multiple roles.
He said that all those news reports and rumors that he will play several characters at once on "Star Wars Episode 7" are "not true at all."
"I can say I only play one character," he told Entertainment Weekly.
When prodden for more details, Andy Serkis-whose performance capture work as Gollum has been recognized by major award giving bodies-can only laugh.
"I have to be very careful about how I answer these questions. The character ... He's been through some stuff."
The "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors that Andy Serkis will play multiple roles was first reported on Jedi News.
"One of those roles is, as expected, motion capture based - and in that role he will be part of a "group of unbelievably athletic and acrobatic motion capture characters." Also bringing those characters to life is parkour expect Pip Anderson, and 'whom I [the source] believe to be Crystal Clarke,'" it said.
Andy Serkis will also allegedly take on a crucial role "in the first act story arc that entwines with Daisy Ridley's backstory."
At the very least, the British actor confirmed that it was his voice on the "Star Wars Episode 7" trailer that says:
"There's been an awakening. Have you felt it? The dark side and the light..."
"Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy] told me, 'You're all over the trailer,' but I didn't know what that meant. I thought, 'Oh great, they're using the voice of the character I play for the trailer. That's fantastic.' Not thinking what that would actually translate into," he recounted.
More "Star Wars Episode 7" news and rumors are expected in the coming months as the release of the film in December 2015 nears.
