Stephen Collins again addressed the sexual abuse reports as he claimed that he has put his dark past behind him.
In an interview with journalist Katie Couric, "7th Heaven" cast Stephen Collins again confessed that he sexual abused young girls in the past, said Us Magazine.
"I had put that stuff behind me," said the actor, who plays Eric Camden, a pastor of fictional Glen Oak Community Church with a high moral compass, it "7th Heaven." The American family drama ran from 1996-2007 on WB and CW networks. One of the girls, Jessica Biel, carved on to have a successful career.
"In 1973, there were two occasions when I exposed myself to this young woman," he told Couric. "Several months later, she came to visit and stay with us, with my first wife and me. My wife had gone to sleep, and she and I were watching TV alone together... I knew that something unthinkably wrong had just happened that I couldn't take back."
Earlier, he already came clean with People when he said that 40 years ago, he did something "terribly wrong."
"I have been working to atone for it ever since. I've decided to address these issues publicly because two months ago, various news organizations published a recording made by my then-wife, Faye Grant, during a confidential marriage therapy session in January, 2012. This session was recorded without the therapist's or my knowledge or consent," he said.
Stephen Collins added in the People interview: "On the recording, I described events that took place 20, 32, and 40 years ago. The publication of the recording has resulted in assumptions and innuendos about what I did that go far beyond what actually occurred. As difficult as this is, I want people to know the truth."
The whole interview with "7th Heaven" cast Stephen Collins and his sexual abuse transgressions airs December 19 on 20/20.
