"Community" season 6 will be more like season 1, new reports claim.
In an interview with Yahoo TV, cast members of the hit comedy show dished on the new season and the glorious save made by Yahoo Screen.
The show will be patterned "to the look of the first season. We're going back to a more filmed look," cast member Jim Rash. Apart from the familiar feel and look of season 1, season 6 will be shooting on location at the Los Angeles Community college. This will be another first since season 1.
Now that "Community" season 6 will air online and not on TV, did production get a little bit riskier with the script to include swearing? Alison Brie doesn't think so. [There's a] "longer leash. Not no leash, but significantly longer," she said. "I don't think Dan wanted to suddenly bring in cussing; it wasn't the world we had been in."
And when it comes to the show getting another season after being cancelled by NBC, Brie only had this to share:
"We've been through so many ups and downs with the show. When it got the worst it could get it - which was the show getting canceled - it still has another life. So now I think we're all like, 'Well, I guess we're invincible!'"
The upcoming run will see the return of the following cast members, IGN reported:
"Alison Brie is under contract for Season 6, along with Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash. All seven of these actors are expected to be a part of the new season. Now keep in mind we don't know if this means that they'll all be in all 13 episodes, but you should expect to see Jeff, Shirley, Annie, Britta, Abed, Chang and the Dean again in these new episodes."
It is important to note however that Yvette Nicole Brown has already announced her departure from the show. Paget Brewster and Keith David, on the other hand will join the wacky crew next season.
New episodes will reportedly air early 2015.
