"Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch is set to shell out $16.8 million for a "Tuscan-style" villa in Los Angeles ahead of his wedding to fiancée Sophie Hunter.
The seven-bedroom mansion is located in Hidden Hills, an upscale area with a median income upwards of $200,000 in 2012. The house is nestled on a 2.5-acre manicured property.
According to the UK's Express, "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch was so happy about finding the Hidden Hills mansion that he "was almost doing backflips."
"Benedict's representatives have indicated he is ready to make an initial offer which will not be too far off the asking price, so he could be moving in early in the New Year," the real estate agent revealed.
Accordingly, his neighbors include Ozzy Osborne, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lawrence.
The publication reported that the mansion also has its own pool and spa, with a movie theather.
"There is a games room with pool table, bar and a second huge custom-built television, plus garages for five cars, a gym and library," it added.
More importantly, the entrance to the gated community has its own security personnel 24/7.
According to MailOnline, quoting Radio Times, "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch was already keen on moving from London over "post-bashing" against "privileged actors, especially ones who have attended the likes of Eton and Harrow."
"It's all so predictable. So domestic, so dumb. It makes me think I want to go to America," he said. "I wasn't born into land or titles, or new money, or an oil rig."
"Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be next seen playing Alan Turing in "The Imitation Game." He announced his engagement to Sophie Hunter last month.
