What's going to happen when "How to Get Away with Murder" returns on January?

After almost two months of going into a mid-season break, fans surely are excited to know what will happen next. For those who missed the riveting finale, here's a quick recap from Fashion N Style:

"Fans watched as Wes Gibbins delivered the final blow to Sam Keating during the HTGAWM midseason finale, which ended the psychology professor's life, in an attempt to save his girlfriend, presumed Lila Stangard murderer Rebecca Sutter. The most shocking part though was when Annalise later found out about the whole sha-bang and even encouraged Wes that he shouldn't be sorry for what he did."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Pete Norwald dished on some exclusive details about the new episodes. He specifically shared how Connor will cope after what happened before the season went for a break.

"Seeing what happened that night and how scared Connor is now, the things he cared about before in his life, he might not care so much about, i.e. sleeping with every guy that he meets," he said.

"We'll see how Connor is different post-murder night and specifically how he's different in relation to Oliver."

Apart from finally shedding light into the murders that happend, new "How to Get Away with Murder" spoilers suggest a new cast member when the show returns on January.

Emmy winner Cicely Tyson is reportedly joining the cast. Not much has been said about her role, but many are speculating that it will be a crucial part in the series. Some are even saying that she might play Annalise's mother. Fans will just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, other spoilers suggest that fans will know immediately who killed Lila when new episodes air. As show runner Peter Nowalk shared to TV Guide, "We pick up very soon after where Episode 9 ended."
