Lindsay Lohan news reported that the "Speed The Plow" actress is keen on making more Broadway projects. According to In Touch Weekly, the once troubled actress is hoping to get help from Oprah Winfrey.

A source revealed: "Oprah bought the rights to several books that she wants to produce for the stage."

"Lindsay is begging to be cast in one," the source claimed.

The insider also shared more about the Lindsay Lohan news: "If that doesn't work out, she's hoping Oprah can get her an audition for something like 'Cabaret.'"

Oprah Winfrey reportedly helped the "Mean Girls" star to be part of the cast in her first West End project, "Speed The Plow," which ended last month.

"Lindsay needs another helping hand," the insider said, adding that the former child star "referred to Oprah as her fairy godmother."

Doing more Broadway projects would mean that the movie star is serious about not going back to the US anytime soon. In a recent report from The Guardian , the 28-year-old clarified rumors about how she is supposedly feeling so homesick and yearning to return to the US.

Lindsay Lohan answered: "I won't live in L.A. again, hell no."

The former party girl star explained: "You turn on the news in L.A. and it is all gossip about people," then added: "All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news?"

According to the report from The Guardian, the controversial movie star compared her life in the US to her current stay in London. "I can go for a run here on my own," she said. "I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time."

Lindsay Lohan admitted about the news: "I needed to grow up, and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else."
