Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's marriage is going strong as they are reportedly spending New Year's Eve at Niagara Falls, Ontario as the "American Idol" judge claimed that he's not accepting shows on the holidays to be with his family.
In an interview with The Star, Keith Urban said that ever since he has been married, he hasn't worked on New Year's Eve so he could be with Nicole Kidman and the kids.
"I think I worked most of the time on New Year's Eve before I was married," he said.
This time, however, Keith Urban will join other musicians for a free concert at the Niagara Falls but he's bringing along Nicole Kidman and his children to continue their tradition of greeting the new year together.
According to Niagara Falls Review, last year's free concert drew more than 3.4 million viewers, or 526,000 more than the previous year.
As for his plans for the New Year, he said that Nicole Kidman's mother will be joining them to celebrate. Her father died earlier this year due to heart attack while visiting her sister in Singapore.
"My mom and dad were going to be flying in, but they had to change their plans, so I probably won't see them till January," he added. "But mostly it's just a nice, simple family Christmas. And then before you know it we'll be landing at Niagara Falls on New Year's Eve for a slightly chilly show. I'm really looking forward to it."
It's quite different from when he was growing up where the New Year's celebration was "always an outdoor thing."
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's marriage has been hounded with split rumors over the better part of the year. However, the couple has proven time and again that their union remains strong and there's no divorce in the horizon.
