Reportedly, "Mission Impossible 5" star Tom Cruise finally took a break from filming to spend Christmas with his ex-wife Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri. The 52-year old Hollywood heartthrob has been very busy with his latest movie as he shoots his own stunts in different locations. The actor who plays Ethan Hunt was last seen in London doing a chase scene during rush hour.

According to Irish Examiner, the 36-year old actress was the one who invited her ex-husband to join them on Christmas for the sake of their 8-year old daughter. A source said, "Katie wants to spend Christmas with her own family but has to put Suri first and will do everything in her power to make her happy."

Back in 2012, the couple split up because of his belonging to the Church of Scientology. According to AZ Central, Katie Holmes is an overprotective parent and that she watches everything that is going on around her child. I guess that could be the reason why she broke up with Tom Cruise so she can protect her daughter from Scientology.

The star of "Mission Impossible 5" tried to defend his religion during a trial. Radar Online reported him saying, "I find it, those statements offensive. Like with any relationship, there are many different levels to it." Tom added, "You know, I, I find it very offensive. There is no need to protect my daughter from my religion."

The Inquisitr reported that by just being with Katie Holmes may be getting Tom Cruise in trouble with the Church of Scientology. She has earned the label of the "Suppressive Person", which means that Tom is supposed to avoid her.

An insider said, "There's no way Katie will set foot in Tom's home or be in the same room as the rest of his family, because they are all so involved with the Scientology movement." However, she needs to do what she has to do to make Suri Cruise happy.

A source told The Sun, "So she's asked him to come to their new home. Tom's agreed to try to schedule his holidays to involve Suri as much as possible. The insider added, "It was Tom's turn to have Suri on Christmas Day last year, so to see her again this year will be a bonus."

I guess Christmas in 2015 will be extra special for Tom Cruise because his movie "Mission Impossible 5" will be showing on Dec. 25 and he may also get to spend that day with his daughter too.
