"Community" season 6 premieres in 2015 on Yahoo Screen. Apart from the new cast and new platform, what can fans expect?
Reports confirm the return of the Russo Brothers this season. The notable directors will be directing the pilot episode of the upcoming run. In an interview with IGN, show runner Dan Harmon dished on the brothers' return to the show.
"Yeah, I feel like there might be a little bit on both sides, a nostalgic, kind of bittersweet desire to keep going back to the relationship that never found its footing from the beginning. We were always very effective collaborators, but there was never that moment where we all put down our weapons. There was always a little stone ax within reach. [Laughs] Because they were directors and I'm a writer. I'm never going to fully trust people whose typewriters are cameras. It doesn't make any sense to me. But at the same time, you have to look at the whole body of work."
"You look at Season 1, I look back on it with a little bit of regret about how I may have intonated to them on several occasions like, "This is my show!" I was right. I should have said that in the context, but also, at the same time, after all the show's been through and seeing what's really important to people - which is whether the episodes are good - I just wish I had added back then, "By the way, you guys are really good at what you do! This is just a f**king hard show," you know, something. I haven't spoken to them about it on an emotional level, but it always feels like on both sides we're like - I keep asking if they'll come back and do an episode, and they keep saying, "Yes," so it's almost like we're both going, "You know, we're cool now, right? We probably should have never questioned each other," he added.
Apart from the "Community" season 6 premiere, fans are also excited for the new cast members Paget Brewster and Keith David.
"Whatever they want I'll do," Brewster said. "I hope I don't have to run around campus naked at some point. I shouldn't even say that. Maybe that's how it happens."
David on the other hand has been a huge fan of the comedy. "I like the show because I think it's smart. It's not just slapstick and silly, it's based in something,"
