Actress Jung Ryeo Won has returned to the small screen with SBS new Monday-Tuesday drama 'King Of Dramas'. She revealed a story about how she got revenge on a staff member that thought she was unsatisfactory in the past.
'King Of Dramas' is a story about the intertwined lives of three characters: the money-chasing expert CEO of an independent production company, a rookie scriptwriter that believes dramas are all about humanity, and a crazy top star.
Jung Ryeo Won will play the role of Lee Go Eun, the aspiring writer. With a tenacity and strong will, she was able to work as a junior scriptwriter as she continued to work towards her dream of being the main scriptwriter. However, her life starts to go awry after she meets Anthony (played by Kim Myung Min) a CEO of a production company.
At the press conference for 'King Of Dramas', held at the SBS Hall in Mokdong on the 31st, Jung Ryeo Won said, "In the drama, I am put in a difficult situation of being unable to work because of Kim Myung Min, but the tables will turn later. I was actually in a similar situation in real life. During my rookie days, there was a person that looked down on me. I ended up working with that person later on. I think that that was my revenge. I believe that turning someone who once looked down on me and turning them into someone who encourages and acknowledges me is the real victory."
Jung Ryeo Won said that she picked this drama because, "Up until now, I always did what I wanted to do. Now, I want to act in a drama that I would want to watch. I thought it would be good to film a drama that I would want to watch. I felt that 'King Of Dramas' would be really fun. I hope people are looking forward to watching it."
'King Of Dramas' will be written by Jang Hang Joon and Lee Ji Hyo while PD Hong Sung Chang of 'Smile Mom' and 'You Are Beautiful' will be directing. Kim Myung Min, Jung Ryeo Won, and Choi Shi Won will star as the first episode will air on November 5th.
