Ben Affleck showered wife Jennifer Garner with compliments months after facing divorce rumors and following his confession that he still like his exes quite a bit even to this day.
In an interview with Loaded magazine, Ben Affleck credited wife Jennifer Garner for helping her become the man he is now. The couple has been married for nine years and they have three children together, Violet, 8; Seraphina, 5; and Samuel, 2.
"Getting to know Jennifer, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, okay, I'm going to do Hollywoodland," he said. "I'm going to direct Gone Baby Gone. Those were the steps forward I needed to put positive stuff on the board."
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner co-starred in "Pearl Harbor" and "Daredevil" but he said they are not looking to be appearing together in a future movie. He also quipped that the Marvel movie helped define their relationship.
"She won most of the fights in the movie, which was a pretty good predictor of what would happen down the road - my wife holding swords and beating the living s**t out of me."
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck said that he has a good relationship with his former girlfriends Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow.
"I've been really lucky in my personal relationships. I look back and think the major relationships I've had were all with really good people who I like quite a bit still to this day," he said.
Fanning the divorce rumors between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner was the interview that his ex, Jennifer Lopez, with Maria Shriver on The Today Show where she revealed that the "Batman V Superman" star "was probably my first big heartbreak."
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez dated in 2002 but broke up two years later. J-Lo then went on to marry singer Marc Anthony, while the new Batman married the "13 Going on 30" star. Now the tabloids are feasting on the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner divorce rumors although reps for both actors have not issued a statement confirming or denying the reports.
