Gaming fans rejoice as new updates and details for Ubisoft's sequel to the hacking open-world video game, Watch Dogs 2 have been revealed.
Its seems that the release date for Watch Dogs 2 is rumored to have been revealed online. It was reported before by International Business Times that Ubisoft might be shipped the game in 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
However, Latino Post claimed that Watch Dogs 2 will have a tentative release date set on June 2016. Whether this is true or not is left uncertain, but gaming fans are assured enough that the sequel will be in the market next year.
That's not all, another rumor has circled that Watch Dogs 2 will not just have one protagonist, but three.
According to reports from KpopStarz, several fans of the first Watch Dogs game claimed that the sequel will have three protagonist similar to Rockstar Game's juggernaut franchise, Grand Theft Auto 5.
User AtlasShruggedTwice in the Watch Dogs forum claimed that "A sequel is likely. They've been describing WD as a new franchise, not just a new game." and added that "At the end they also mention something about smart "cities".
International Business times claimed before that Watch Dogs 2 will have 9 locations and The Fuse Joplin reports that Ubisoft will add new features such as weapons, side missions, activities etc.
It is also worth noting that T-Bone is rumored to be the new Protagonist in Watch Dogs 2 replacing Aiden Pearce, but since there would be three heroes in the game, maybe their is a chance that Aiden will be back in the sequel.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had this to say about Watch Dogs sequel's development.
"We are working on that. We want to spend more time on the worlds and characters in our games... you will see more and more of this at Ubisoft. We'll try to be less like we have been in the past with some characters. We'll try to extend more diversity."
