'A Werewolf Boy' and 'Peach Tree' premiered on the same day (October 31st). Both movies have excellent cast, directors, production team and story line. but how well are they doing in theaters?
'A Werewolf Boy' gathered much attention for its cast and love story. On the other hand, "Peach Tree" directed by actress turned director Goo Hye Sun is about Siamese twins who fall in love with the same girl. The movie's deep and sentimental tone, sadly didn't reach the audience's support and has fallen behind. The movie was shown in 200 location around Korea but failed to attract much people. In its first weekend the movie only attracted 13,980 people and that makes a total of 32,785 admissions in 10 days.
Movie experts have said that the reason Peach Tree have fallen so behind was because people couldn't relate to the story. One person that was interviewed said "The dialogue felt awkward. The movie was confusing."
Meanwhile it is expected that 'A Werewolf Boy' follow the steps of 'Masquerade' which was so popular in recent days, for its highs views since it's release in August.
