Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin quickly turned from Linsanity to "Linconsistent" that left coach Byron Scott scratching his head for answers.
Talking to beat reporter Serena Winters, coach Byron Scott was asked what he thinks of Jeremy Lin's play so far for the purple and gold.
"A lot of inconsistency. Some games he's really good and some game's he's not," he said.
"He'll have one real good game and the next game it seems like he doesn't have his confidence. I know he knows he can provide a lot more than what he's been doing," the coach added.
According to Lakers Nation, Jeremy Lin is averaging 10.3 points and 4.7 assists in 26.6 minutes this season.
The last two games against the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets epitomized Linsanity's roller-coaster season.
"In the Lakers latest win over the Denver Nuggets, Lin finished with four points and four assists in 15 minutes. In the game prior, a loss to Phoenix, Lin had 19 points and two assists," the article noted.
Los Angeles Lakers player Jeremy Lin, however, earlier told NBA courtside reporter Mark Medina that this season has been very disappointing, "Knowing what I'm capable of and not being able to bring that to this team."
Data from Hoops Habit revealed that Linsanity actually improved his game across the board.
"For shots over 10 feet when the defender is 4-to-6 feet away, he's shooting 62.5 percent. When he's truly wide open (defender more than 6 feet away), he's shooting 50 percent," it said, which means that Jeremy Lin is maximizing his time on the court playing off ball for the Los Angeles Lakers.
After scoring 19 points in the loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, Jeremy Lin said that he could give more to the team. "When you talk about reaching my full potential, there's still more," he told reporters.
