Trouble seems to be brewing in paradise since Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz's planned wedding is allegedly in danger of being shelved as the rocker and "Annie" actress are reportedly fighting over the prenup.
In an article from Life & Style magazine, the ex Good Charlotte guitarist and his fiancé, the "Sex Tape" actress, are reportedly arguing over the details of their prenuptial agreement.
"At stake is Cameron's $90 million fortune," the magazine said, adding that the money is "exponentially more than the Good Charlotte rocker's $20 million net worth."
Accordingly, Benji Madden's ego is hurt because he and Cameron Diaz are discussing a prenup ahead of their wedding this year.
"Haggling back and forth over money only highlights how much more successful Cam is," the source added. "He's worried that signing a prenup will shift the dynamic in their relationship."
Benji Madden reportedy proposed to Cameron Diaz late last month, based on the report from People, which claimed that the rocker asked Billie, Cameron Diaz's mother, for her blessing before popping the question to the 42-year-old actress.
"Her mom is a fan of him as well and gave her blessing," the source told the magazine.
"All of Benji's friends are aware and happy for him," the source added.
According to Hello Magazine, Billie first met Benji Madden when Cameron Diaz took him to the family home in Florida and they immediately had a connection.
"Billie absolutely loved Benji. She has been gushing about the relationship, saying she hopes Cameron settles down with him," the source said.
Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz's wedding is reportedly scheduled in the early part of this year so the engagement won't be long. But Life & Style is now claiming that the actress allegedly "shelved" the wedding plans until they "resolve everything" regarding their prenup.
