"How to Get Away with Murder" spoilers show that paranoia will be the main theme for the upcoming episodes as the students are more concerned about self-preservation. Meanwhile, Connor will become a different man.
Sam's killer was already known to be Banister Wes. Now the show will deal with the aftermath of that murder.
TV Guide reported that, "Annalise ostensibly believes that Sam's on the lam, but a flashback revealed that Annalise was in the house when Wes returned by himself to retrieve the Lady Justice murder weapon."
Now, there would be no flash forwards although showrunner Pete Nowalk said they will still experiment with time jumps in certain episodes. The remaining six episodes will concentrate on the trial of Rebecca and in the process, reveal who Lila's killer was.
"The big thing that bleeds through all the characters is their paranoia in the next few episodes, and who knows what. 'Am I being played?' The distrust is running high. At the same time, they have to rely on each other more than ever," the showrunner added.
The self-preservation will also extend to Annalise Keating who definitely knows more than what she's letting on. Will her skills to get out hopeless clients from jail time serve her this time?
According to the "How to Get Away with Murder spoilers" from Entertainment Weekly, Connor's big lie to his ex flame that he was a drug addict will catch up to him.
Showrunner Pete Nowalk explained: "Seeing what happened that night and how scared Connor is now, the things he cared about before in his life, he might not care so much about, i.e. sleeping with every guy that he meets. We'll see how Connor is different post-murder night and specifically how he's different in relation to Oliver.
Watch out for more spoilers as "How to Get Away with Murder returns on January 29 on ABC.
