It's been an up and down season for Jeremy Lin but the Los Angeles point guard, whom Kobe Bryant described as too smart for his own good, believes that God is preparing a miracle for him to restore a semblance of his Linsanity years.
In a blog post to greet the New Year, Jeremy Lin offered some news updates about what he's feeling for the new year and how through all the trials and tribulations, his faith in God never wavered.
"My entire life has been a collection of miracles and instances where God has taken a 'bad' situation and turned it into a good one," he wrote. "And who knows...maybe God is preparing a miracle out of all this. When I focus on who God is and how much He loves me, I am able to live with joy and freedom from life's pressures or the results of basketball games."
Since he was demoted to the bench in favor of Ronnie Price, Jeremy Lin has averaged 7.6 points, 4.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 21.6 minutes. That's a far cry from the Linsanity era with the New York Knicks under Mike D'Antoni when he averaged 25 points, 9 assists in 39 minutes.
"There have been many times this past season where I was filled with frustration, many situations where I felt overwhelmed and many nights where I couldn't sleep much because I was thinking about the game," he added. "But through it all, I've been learning how to surrender the results to God, how to walk by faith and not by sight."
In other news, Kobe Bryant dished some advice for Jeremy Lin in order to improve his play and possibly replicate the Linsanity years.
Arash Markazi tweeted after talking to Kobe Bryant regarding Jeremy Lin: "Kobe on Lin: 'He just needs to relax. Sometimes smart people take themselves too seriously.'"
Does Jeremy Lin know about this latest news? "Yeah but I'm not telling him anymore. You have to live it and do it," Kobe Bryant added.
