Good news Marvel fans as new updates for the upcoming X-Men movies have been revealed online.
It has been confirmed that "22 Jump Street" star Channing Tatum will play the X-Men's resident card throwing mutant Gambit in the X-Men film franchise. Tatum's role as Gambit first came about when the latter wanted to a role in the X-Men series and Gambit was his choice, and now it looks like he got his wish as he took to Twitter saying;

This proves that the Gambit spin-off is officially in the works, and it will be shown on October 7, 2016.
But that's not all, two new characters are added in the Deadpool movie. According to reports from Screenrant, these characters are Jack Hammer a.k.a Weasel, and T-Ray.
For those who are not aware of who these characters are, Weasel is the hacker/friend of Deadpool who supplies him with information, and weapons. Due to Deadpool's mood swings and insanity, Weasel is often the subject of his abuse in the comics.
As for T-Ray, he is Deadpool's arch enemy, and claims he is the real "Wade Wilson" and Deadpool is an impostor. He is an accomplished martial artist and can manipulate mystic energies to have super strength, energy burst, levitation, deportation and many more.
Comingsoon.com reports that Ryan Reynolds wanted to cast "The Silicon Valley" star T.J. Miller and "The Transporter Legacy" star Ed Skrein for the roles of Weasel and T-Ray, but there is no confirmation yet from Fox whether these two are on board in the movie.
Finally, there are rumors that both Gambit and Deadpool will appear in X-Men Apocalypse.
Reports from Youth Health Mag.com claimed that Deadpool is rumored to appear in the end credits X-Men: Apocalypse setting him up for the Deadpool spin-off and X-Force the movie. While Kpopstarz claim that Gambit will appear as one of the rumored Horsemen of Apocalypse in the movie. Whether these rumors are true or not is yet to be determined.
