Chris Pratt isn't the only hunk in "Jurassic World". He may be the star of the movie, but there's another hottie that is appearing in the film and his name is Jake Johnson. The 36-year old actor is famous for his role as Nick Miller in the comedy series "New Girl" alongside Zooey Deschanel.
Jake Johnson appeared in Colin Trevorrow's award-winning comedy "Safety Not Guaranteed" back in 2012; and did the voice of Barry in the 2014 animated film "The Lego Movie" alongside Chris Pratt. Could his involvement with both the "Jurassic World" director and lead star have something to do with him taking on the project?
During an interview with The Huffington Post back in March 2014, Jake Johnson revealed why he accepted the role of Lowery. The website asked him if Colin Trevorrow was the reason and he replied: "Absolutely. Now, I'm also a huge fan of Jurassic Park."
Johnson admitted, "When I was growing up and Jurassic Park came out, I freaked out like every other kid. I was born in '78, so I was, like, 12. If it wasn't Colin and someone said they wanted me in Jurassic Park, I would jump on it. The fact that it's Colin, written by Derek Connolly (who wrote Safety Not Guaranteed) and both those guys are personal friends, I'd go through a wall."
The "Jurassic World" hunk also expressed in a separate interview how excited he was reuniting with his former director. Just recently, HitFix asked Jake Johnson if he didn't have to improvise in the latest installment of "Jurassic Park" because both the director and writer already know his voice.
The "Drinking Buddies" star said, "No not those guys. This is more they just knew exactly what they needed because everything was figured out. And on a budget like that everything was like, 'So this cues to that which needs this. We need this line for that.' So there was just no room for me being like, 'Let's open this s*** up.'"
Jake Johnson also said, "Colin and I a couple of nights would like come up with some ideas and some bits that we would a little. But everything was, you know, the script was really good. A lot of times when you improvise a lot it's because it needs some improv where you look at it and you say, a lot of times before you even signed up for a project like, 'We're going to open this s*** up, right?' And on a thing like that it just didn't. It was just Derek and Colin are good writers."
Are you excited to see "Jurassic World" hunk Jake Johnson alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard get chased by dinosaurs on June 12, 2015?
