Jeremy Lin was back to starting point in Los Angeles Lakers' blowout loss to the Clippers on Wednesday. But it's not a permanent thing as "Linsanity" will go back to the bench once Ronnie Price mends.
Meanwhile, coach Byron Scott called his team soft after the loss to the Clippers.
Journeyman Ronnie Price was sidelined because of a broken nose as well as flu-like symptoms, said LA Times.
"Lin lost his starting spot after 20 games, replaced by the more defensive-minded Price," it said.
Lakers reporter Mark Medina tweeted that Byron Scott has repeatedly called the Los Angeles Lakers soft after the blowout to the Clippers.
He added: "Kobe on Byron calling the Lakers soft: 'He said the same thing I said. He just didn't use a toilet paper analogy.'"
On the Clippers, Byron Scott apparently said per Mark Medina's tweet: "They're a good team, but I don't consider them a physical basketball team. But they came out and punched us. We were soft."
The Los Angeles Clippers gave the Lakers an old-time drubbing with a score of 114-89. Jeremy Lin was far from Linsanity as he scored 12 points on 5-9 shooting, along with 2-4 from the three-point arc. He also had three rebounds but only one assist.
Earlier, Byron Scott described Jeremy Lin's play as very inconsistent.
"A lot of inconsistency. Some games he's really good and some game's he's not," he told Serena Winters. "He'll have one real good game and the next game it seems like he doesn't have his confidence. I know he knows he can provide a lot more than what he's been doing," the coach added.
During the Linsanity era with the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin averaged 24.6 points and 9.2 assists per game as a starter playing for Mike D'Antoni, the coach who was booted by the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of last season.
