Sony introduces a new gadget for the audiophiles: the Sony Walkman NW-ZX2. According to Yahoo Tech, it costs almost $1,120.00 and delivers a hi-res audio for hard-core music lovers with trained ears. It means people who love listening to music in high definition will benefit from it.

"Every piece of material and component has been crafted to realize the ultimate Hi-Res Audio experience on the move," said Mike Fasulo, president of Sony Electronics USA, at CES.

The price is a bit astounding but Fox News noted a Sony audio expert identified only as "Jeff" explained why it is so in the Consumer Electronics Show where it was launched.

"It comes down to quality. Up until now people have been sacrificing quality for convenience," the expert said.

Reportedly, the heir to Sony Walkman ZX1 sports a 4-inch Sony Triluminos display and runs in Android 4.2, supports Direct Stream Digital-Dff, a professional and uncompressed format that is used in recording and mastering Superior Audio CDs. The device has a better bass and "improved sense of stereo" due to better audio components, such as an improved power supply and the use of a large capacity Li-ion battery. It also supports "any kind of format that you can throw at it." The New Walkman unlike the old-school cassette player type supports NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It has a standard storage space of 128 GB.

"It will make everything sound better, even the MP3s," according to the Sony expert - referring to the Audio engine which includes Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine.

Not only that, the surprisingly bulky device is made of an aluminum chassis with genuine leather backing. Inside it is made of gold-plated copperplate and high-purity, lead-free solder to help cut down on interference and improve overall sound.

"Copper chassis inside that's gold-plated for rigidity and reduction of noise...Very high-purity solder goes into it as well," the Sony expert said.

Sony's new device will be out in the market this spring.
