But TMZ said that the point of the concert was to determine if Jennifer Lopez is ready for a Las Vegas residency and she passed " with flying colors."
The Las Vegas Sun noted the "impressive, high-energy" performance by Jennifer Lopez for her New Year's Eve performance.
"At one point, she waded into the audience to pose for photographs and sing with fans, and the crowd mobbed her," it said. "She barely made it back onstage in time for the NYE countdown. The clock had already hit 7 when she rushed back to count down to 1 and the arrival of 2015.
The show could preview what fans can expect from a Jennifer Lopez Las Vegas residency as she was joined "onstage by showgirls from 'Jubilee' at Bally's Las Vegas backed with a cast of 25 musicians and top-notch dancers."
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are allegedly dating again after they split in the middle of last year after three years of being together.
According to Hollywood Life, the two rang in the New Year together in Las Vegas where she performed for an NYE concert, "The Best is Yet to Come."
The tabloid website said that it wouldn't be surprised if Jennifer Lopez is dating Casper Smart again as they remained friends throughout their split, even with rumors that he cheated with a transsexual which was blamed as the reason for the breakup.
