Serena Williams will allegedly part ways with rumored boyfriend Coach Patrick Mouratoglou after her beatdown from Eugenie Bouchard during their singles match in the Hopman Cup. The world's no. 1 also threw a tantrum as she called the umpire a liar during the tournament.
KpopStarz speculated that Serena Williams might drop her coach "boyfriend" Patrick Mouratoglou for her poor showing at the tournament in Perth, Australia.
"After Serena's loss to Eugenie Bouchard, she may not be feeling so cozy with her coach slash boyfriend," it said.
The world's no. 1 has always denied that she's dating anybody, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou included. But the dating rumors keeps on hounding the couple everywhere they go.
At the start of the year, Serena Williams had a selfie with her coach, the photo of which was published on Daily Mail, as they arrived in Perth for the Hopman Cup.
"But as World No.1 Serene Williams landed at Perth airport on Saturday, all that appeared to occupy her mind was the angle that showed off her best side as she posed for snaps with beau Patrick Mouratoglou," it said.
Meanwhile, Serena Williams threw a tantrum during the tournament as she slammed her racquet to the ground on Saturday night and called the umpire a liar.
"Williams believed the US should have been awarded the point due to Janowicz's distraction and a five-minute argument involving all four players, the chair umpire and the ITF referee ensued," New Zealand's Stuff magazine reported.
"The Americans ended up winning the replay, but a few games later Williams twice smashed her racquet on the court after missing a simple backhand," the article noted.
Her rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou previously admitted that 2014 has not been a great year for Serena Williams due mostly to her injuries. In an earlier interview with the New York Times, he said: "The only explanation we have is that after the year and a half she spent winning so much and playing so much, she had a moment where she dropped a bit in terms of her nerves and her mental game and then lost matches. In the losing matches, she lost a bit of confidence."
