It looks like Half Life 3 would finally be announced this GDC 2015.
Valve has admitted to Game Informer that they will have a large presence at the 2015 Game Developers Conference in March:
"We're planning a very large presence at GDC with Steam Machines being front and center," a Valve representative said to Game Informer.
While the buzz is going to be centered at the Steam Machines and Steam Controller, fans have admitted that the Steam Machines needs to have a killer app. And what would be a better killer app than Half Life 3?
Previously we have reported that users at the famed image board 4Chan have uncovered the entry of Half Life 3 at the Steam Database and they posted a pic of the entry as you can see below:
We then reported that the updated entry of App 323900 had the picture of Half Life 3 removed. But now it seems that the entry has been completely deleted from the Steam Database.
Fans have wondered if the pic posted above was just a hoax that was created by a troll on 4Chan, but it seems like the Half Life 3 entry on the Steam Database is real if the reports are to be believed.
"This is evident after Valve’s very own Steam network was mistakenly updated with Half Life 3 on it. In detail, Steam listed the App 323900 on their database as Half Life 3. Of course, the reveal has already been removed by Valve." as quoted from the report of Motoring Crunch.
And now it seems that Half Life 3 could be announced at the event instead of the rumored announcement at Ti5.
An informant has posted to 4Chan that Valve would announce Half Life 3 at GDC 2015 and it would be bundled along with the upcoming Steam Machines for free, though the game would be available to PC's. The informant also reveals that Half Life 3 would NOT appear on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Take the information about with a grain of salt though. But what do you think? Sound off in the comments below!
