It looks like Halo 5: Guardians might come to the PC after all but they would have to wait until 2016 to play it if the reports and rumors are to be believed.

Cyberland has reported that Microsoft is reportedly looking into porting Halo 5: Guardians to PC platform but noted that they, along with 343 Industries, are focusing on the Xbox One version of Halo 5: Guardians at the moment.

The report also notes that with Fall 2015 being the release date window for Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One, it can assumed that PC gamers would have to wait until 2016 to play the game on PC.

This news is a breath of fresh air for PC gamers who recently had a quick scare with Microsoft when the company admitted that the "teaser" that was posted on the Xbox store that noted that other platforms would have Halo 5, was just an error on their part and that Halo 5 is for the Xbox One for the meantime.

Previously as reported by Damian Seeto of Attack of the Fanboy:

"The Halo 5: Guardians beta on the Xbox One store said: 'timed exclusive, may be available later on other platforms'. You can see it on the screenshot we've provided. The words "timed exclusive' got many people speculating that the game might be released for the PC eventually. After all, other Xbox One games like Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 eventually came to the PC."

"Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has now confirmed on Twitter that Halo 5: Guardians is not coming to the PC. He said: 'We are fixing that language, it was simply meant to imply the beta is for a limited time. Sorry for any confusion.' "
