Good news Star Wars fans as new updates for the upcoming Star Wars films have been revealed.
It looks like a new writer is on board to write the script for Star Wars spin-off . With scriptwriter Gary Whitta out of the 2016 Star Wars project, a replacement has been made and Star Wars Rebels co-creator/writer Simon Kinberg will take the job.
Kinberg, who also handles The Force Awakens movie, and additionally penned X-Men: Days of Future Past, the standalone film will be next in line to do the secript.
For now, no confirmation has been made from Lucasfilm or Kinberg's representatives.
However, It was reported that Whitta has written the first draft of the movie, in which the plot is about a heist story of Bounty Hunters. It is sensible that Lucasfilm would get Kinberg to rewrite the script quickly as he's heavily-involved already in creating the Star Wars universe in the Disney-era.
Whether this is true or not is still uncertain. Lucasfilm wouldn't investigate this story and requests to Kinberg's illustration were unreciprocated as of the press release. For whatever reason, these are just rumors but we are sure that it is true.
What we have is a tendency to grasp what Whitta have written in the first draft of this film before he left the project, and Lucasfilm was searching for somebody to step in. Enter Kinberg, who is conversant down to earth, imaginative and creative. He's the right replacement to come back in and polish/rewrite the script to Lucasfilm's perspective.
