It looks like the Taken movie series is not yet over, as a possbible Taken 4 film is rumored to be in talks.
Taken 3 has endured the negative reviews from critics, with most of them saying that the Taken franchise has stayed more than it should. The film earned almost $92 million worldwide with a $48 million budget.
Another big question is, if there will be Taken 4, Can Liam Neeson play Bryan Mills once again? The Taken 3 tagline "It Ends Here," would seem to be not true to its words. Another sequel seems like a very good one. Of course, there are different considerations for the studio to need another installment with Neeson.
Neeson and his Taken 3 co-star Forest Whitaker were interviewed by Fox to market their film, throughout the course of the interview, Neeson was asked if there's "room" for more Taken films in the future. Neeson answered, ""There's always... I think if audiences go and see it and they like these characters, I mean, I'd love to do something with Forest again, and if it's in a 'Taken' 4 scenario... great." The writers of the franchise, Luc Besson and Henry M. Robert Mark Kamen are used sequel-izing action films.
During an the Collider.com interview with Olivier Megaton, he admits that "I don't extremely savvy they may create [another 'Taken' movie]," after Taken 3, since it's meant to be the last one. Truth be told, though, the third Taken film doesn't precisely bring the trio to an exact purpose of conclusion, thematically-speaking; that is to mention, that 'It Ends Here' tagline concluded up being a fairly empty promise.
Taken 3 had the potential to spherical out a satisfying three-film arc for Neeson as Bryan Mills. Instead the film vied out for another sequel, instead of a "last" chapter in a very larger heroic tale,
However, there are moviegoers who would relish it if the franchise continues to travel with the fictitious character and have its protagonist stays constant, while the planet around continues to change. So, if Taken 4 will happen, there should be an audience for it; Although, Taken 2 and 3, did not impress everyone. But the paying crowd is the same.
