In the aftermath of the "Honey Boo Boo" scandal, one family member is making sure the checks keep coming after the TLC network axed the show. Mama June's eldest hired a PR firm to shop around a reality show based on her own family.
Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell told TMZ that her life with husband, Michael Cardwell, and her daughter, Kaitlyn, can make for interesting TV.
The pitch seems to revolve around a young family trying to survive "in a cold, cruel world." Of course, it involves a lot of hunting and fishing as well.
"Chickadee tells us she's hired an agent who's pitching a family-centric show, but not Mama June's family," it said. "As for June ... Chickadee says her mama can make occasional appearances along with the rest of the family, but they won't steer the ship."
Chickadee also retweeted a post by Gina Rodriguez who wrote: "GR Media is happy to welcome Anna Shannon Cardwell from Here Comes Honey Boo to its roster @chickadeeanna."
The Daily Mail noted that Chickadee and Mama June are slowly patching up their relationship after severing ties as an offshot of the "Honey Boo Boo" scandal.
"Anna cut ties after learning that Mama June had rekindled a relationship with Mark McDaniel, who was convicted of molesting Anna when she was eight," it said. "The fallout from the scandal caused cable network TLC to cancel Here Comes Honey Boo Boo in October."
Last month, TMZ reported that Mama June and Chickadee reconciled as the former handed over the $15,400 check which will be the "last payday" from the reality show.
Previously, Chickadee accused her mother of stealing from her trust fund but Mama June insisted that the money dwindled because she had to pay her daughter's bills and house rent.
After the network cancled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" when the scandal broke out, the checks stopped coming for the members of the family.
