Star Wars Battlefront Sticks To First Person Gameplay? DICE Aims To Create ‘The Best Star Wars Shooter Of All Time’

"Star Wars Battlefront" appears to be sticking to first-person gameplay as no official announcement has been made about a third-person perspective.On the other hand, DICE, the game developer, promises to deliver the best for the players.

Developer EA has claimed the game will be its "major first-person shooter for the year."

"Now, we at DICE are hard at work creating the best Star Wars shooter of all time, to carry that legacy into the future with 'Star Wars Battlefront,'" Niklas Fegraeus, DICE Design Director stated. "We're building the game that we as fans want to play."

"Star Wars Battlefront" enthusiasts expect that they can play as the hero or the villain shooting with space based combat in the first-person gameplay. According to Movie Pilot, Battlefront is guaranteed to have heroes or else "there will be an outrage." It appears that DICE is preparing the game that way as they have described in the website.

"Fight in epic Star Wars battles on iconic planets and rise through the ranks playing as the heroic Rebellion or the evil galactic Empire," DICE refer to "Star Wars Battlefront" in its website. "Whether fighting through blaster-wielding troops, or piloting your favorite Star Wars combat vehicles like snowspeeders, speeder bikes, and AT-ST's - 'Star Wars Battlefront puts' you at the center of the galactic conflict!"

Air Herald also noted that the "Star Wars Battlefront" first person shooter will focus on the original Star Wars trilogy. Even it is set to be launched with the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie, content crossover is not expected.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is expected to be launched by summer of 2015 however it was moved by a few months. According to Eurogamer, Electronic Arts has announced its December release date, which coincides with JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Episode 7.

"Star Wars: Battlefront," EA's major first-person shooter, is more of a reboot of its predecessor rather than a sequel. It is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
