We compare the Apple iPad Air 2 and the HTC Nexus 9 to see which tablet device is the better purchase.
According to the Fuse Joplin, Apple's iPad Air 2 is slimmer than the first iPad Air and retains the same design. It has an aluminum body with curved edges and corners. Its dimensions are 240 x 169.5 x 6.1 mm, and it comes in two weight variants: 437grams for the WiFi version, and 444 grams for the 3G/LTE variant.
The HTC Nexus 9 has a plastic back with a soft feel, and its dimensions are 228.2 x 153.7 x 8 mm. Like the Apple device, it also hase two sets of weight variants: 425 grams for the WiFI version, and the 436 grams for the 3G/LTE variant.
Both tablets support the same resolution of 1536×2048 pixels, but the HTC Nexus 9 has an IPS LCD at 8.9 inches, which can give a pixel density of 281ppi, while the iPad Air 2 has a 9.7inches LED-backlit IPS LCD screen with 264ppi.
For the hardware and OS, the Nexus 9 has a dual-core Denver clocked at 2.3 GHz, partnered with a Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, and Kepler DX1 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM, and it has two variants of internal memory: 16 GB for the Wi-Fi version, and 32 GB for the LTE version. The tablet runs on the Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop)
The iPad Air 2 has a triple-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, partnered with a Apple A8X chipset. It has 2GB of RAM, but it comes in different internal memories: 16, 64, and 128GB, and runs on the iOS 8.1, which is upgradable to the iOS 8.1.2.
Both tablets have primary cameras of 8MP, the iPad Air 2 secondary camera is at 1.2MP, while the Nexus 9 is higher at 1.6MP. For the battery, iPad Air 2 has a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 7340 mAh tha last up to 10 hours, while the Nexus 9 has non-removable Li-Po battery at 6700 mAh, that last 9 hours and 30 mins in 3G.
