It certainly looks like The Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play, as more game retailers remove the title off their shelves.

According to Games.On.net, and as reported by Joystiq, Australian retailers Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi have followed suit and have "deleted copies of the game from their physical stores."

A source confirmed to Games.On.net that "all game cards and copies were pulled out of Harvey Norman, and the ONLY reason that would happen is because it has become a free product [...] if it was being brought out in a different format, it'd have a price drop, not a recall."

It was previously reported that Australian games retailer EB Games has discontinued and removed existing copies of TESO from their shelves.

More and more gamers are believing that The Elder Scrolls free to play announcement will be made very soon.

The game recently dropped its 6-month subscription leading to more talks about a free to play format in order. Zenimax reportedly cancelled the 6 months option because of their preference for the 1-3 months subscription.

Meanwhile, other The Elder Scrolls Online free to play and console release date reports confirm the game's availability on Xbox One and PS4 by 2015.

According to International Business Times, "Developer Zenimax Online Studios has put to rest the rumours on the release of MMORPG game Elder Scrolls Online and has now announced that the game will be released in 2015. It added that the game will be coming on Xbox One and PS4 platforms."
