We compare the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 to see which Samsung tablet is better.

In terms of design and display, the Fuse Joplin stated that both Samsung tablets have the faux leather rear made out of plastic, and both are available in black and white colors. They also both have Super clear LCD displays with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, but the Galaxy Note 214 edition has a pixel density of 299 ppi, while the Galaxy Note Pro has lower pixel density of 247 ppi.

The Galaxy Note 2014 edition's dimensions are 243.1 x 171.4 x 7.9 mm, and it has three variants of weight: 540 grams (WIFI), 535 grams (3G), and 547 grams (LTE). The Note Pro's dimensions are 295.6 x 203.9 x 8 mm, and weighs heavier at 750 grams.

Both Samsung tablets have powerful octa-core processing unit clocked at 1.9 GHz with the Exynos 5 chip, and 3 GB of RAM. However, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition has three variants: 16, 32, and 64 GB ( with a microSD card), while the Galaxy Note 12.2 has an internal memory of 32 GB, and can be extended at 64 GB with the help of an microSD card. The Galaxy Note 2014 runs on the Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), which can be upgraded to v4.4.2 (KitKat) version, while the Galaxy Note 12.2 runs on the Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat).

For the camera and battery specs, GSMArena stated that the Galaxy Note 2014 edition has a 8MP primary shooter, and a 2MP secondary shooter with features such as autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, and face/smile detection. It has a non-removable Li-Po battery at 8220 mAh capacity, which last 10 hours on 2G, and 49 hours in 3G.

The Galaxy Note Pro has also a 8MP primary shooter, and a 2MP secondary camera with the features. The battery however, at 9500 mAh capacity that last 12 hours.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 32GB is at $599, while the 16GB is cheaper at $550. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 cost $750 as the 64GB variant is at $850.
