Ubisoft finally gave anupdate about the much awaited Tom Clancy's The Division release date on Xbox One and PS4.
As eager fans await official announcements of an exact release date, the game's developers finally broke their silence to reassure fans that the promised 2015 launch is all set. Previous reports have started to question Ubisoft and their ability to deliver the game they have promised.
Ubisoft Canada via their official Facebook Page, announced that 2 Tom Clancy titles are sure to get a 2015 release. The post however still failed to mention any exact dates as of the moment.
"We've got two Clancy games coming this year... Which one are YOU most excited for? Rainbow Six Siege or The Division?" The Facebook post read.
Tom Clancy's The Division release date updates from Game Spot claim that, "In addition to standard story progression (and new content after you finish), The Division features progression systems for gear, player statistics, and your base of operation, which can be continually upgraded, Cortes said. Ubisoft will also support The Division with new content following its release, adding more hours to the main experience."
The highly anticipated game is far from 100% as rumors abound that developers have been facing production issues and recurring bugs and glitches.
Speaking to Gamespot, Ubisoft Massive managing director David Polfedt addressed the release date delay saying:
"One thing that I would really like for this industry to be able to talk about is the difficulty of predicting [release dates]. Because we often talk about dates, but the reality-and this is really coming from the trenches-is that if you have a project with say 400 people on it, you're working on a fairly new piece of hardware like the current-gen, and you're trying hard to be the best game ever, and you want to do 90+ [Metacritic], the reality is it's very hard to do that."
"It's like if I were to ask you to become a professional athlete. Yeah, you could become an athlete, but when will you be ready? It's a really hard question," he added.
