James Franco and Lana Del Rey have a very interesting friendship.
“The Interview” actor has expressed his desire to work with the “Big Eyes” singer recently in a poetic essay that details his infatuation and respect for the brunette beauty.
“She has this idea for a film. I want to do it because it’s a little like Sunset Boulevard,” an excerpt from the essay read, according to GigWise.
The essay continued, “A woman is alone in a big house in L.A. She doesn’t want to go out. She starts to go crazy, and becomes paranoid because she feels like people are watching her. Even in her own house. It’s like an awesome B-movie that lives in Lana’s head. It’s about her, and it’s not about her. Just like her music.”
Lana Del Rey had inspired James Franco in other ways as well.
“She isn’t made for this Earth,” explained Franco during an interview with V magazine.
He added, “I wanted to interview Lana for a book and she said, ‘Just write around me, it’s better if it’s not my own words. It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.’”
James Franco is most likely fan-girling over Lana Del Rey’s new track “Wait For Life,” which is on Emile Haynie’s debut LP, “We Fall,” which is due out on February 24 via Interscope, according to Consequence of Sound.
Lana Del Rey was most recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her song “Big Eyes,” which is featured on Tim Burton’s film of the same name. The 29-year-old is reportedly ready to release her new album “Honeymoon” and has already written nine songs, according to Music Times.
“I’m looking for a few more songs to tie everything together,” Del Rey said of the album.
