It looks like Half Life 3 is definitely in the minds of Valve and that an announcement regarding the game could come soon.

The Tehran Chronicle has reported that Gabe Newell was allegedly in attendance at CES 2015 and he told a couple of details about the Dota 2 International 2015, GDC 2015 And Half Life 3.

The report mentions that Gabe Newell was very hesitant to answer the question about whether Valve is working on Half Life 3 but he then mentioned that Valve is working on the new Source Engine and it is going to be the foundation of their future games.

He also mentioned that Valve has something special planned for GDC 2015 and that he is very excited for the Dota 2 championships at The International 2015.

Could Valve announce Half Life 3 at GDC 2015?

Previously, we have reported that Valve has admitted to Game Informer that they will have a large presence at the 2015 Game Developers Conference in March:

"We're planning a very large presence at GDC with Steam Machines being front and center," a Valve representative said to Game Informer.

Meanwhile, the famed image board 4Chan and it's members have uncovered the entry of Half Life 3 at the Steam Database and they posted a pic of the entry as you can see below:

We then reported that the updated entry of App 323900 had the picture of Half Life 3 removed. But now it seems that the entry has been completely deleted from the Steam Database.

Fans have wondered if the pic posted above was just a hoax that was created by a troll on 4Chan, but it seems like the Half Life 3 entry on the Steam Database is real if the reports are to be believed.

Motoring Crunch has confirmed that leaked database entry of Half Life 3 is real and that gamers should expect an announcement from Valve soon.

"This is evident after Valve’s very own Steam network was mistakenly updated with Half Life 3 on it. In detail, Steam listed the App 323900 on their database as Half Life 3. Of course, the reveal has already been removed by Valve." as quoted from the report of Motoring Crunch.

Can Valve announce Half Life 3 as the "killer app" of the Steam Machines? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!
