Gina Rodriguez' Golden Globe win earlier this month really helped raise "Jane The Virgin" season 1 ratings. The show was also nominated for Best TV Series in the Musical or Comedy category.

The breakthrough star even made the audience teary eyed with her acceptance speech.

"This award is so much more than myself, it represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes," she said, reported by Entertainment Tonight.

She ended her emotional speech with a heart-warming shout out to her father: "My father used to tell me to say every morning, 'Today is going to be a great day. I can and I will.' Well, Dad - Today is a great day. I can and I did."

According to Deadline, the quirky dramedy experienced its highest bump since it premiered last October. It reportedly gained an 11% increase in viewership, drawing in 1.42 million last Monday.

In the 18-34 demographic, the series also enjoyed its highest ratings with a 20% increase from the Dec. 15 numbers.

With the show coming closer to discovering who the real criminal in "Jane The Virgin" season 1 is, numbers for the critically acclaimed show could still increase in future episodes.

Meanwhile, another CW series, "The Originals," also experienced a rise in its ratings.

Whether the bump in numbers is due to the Golden Globe recognition or because of the audience's excitement for new episodes after a long hiatus, the CW is still enjoying the good news.

Prior to the increase in viewership, the network already renewed "Jane The Virgin" and "The Originals," along with five other shows. "The Vampire Diaries," "Supernatural," "The Flash," "Reign," and "The 100" are all getting one more seasons for the CW's 2015-2016 lineup.

Catch new episodes of "Jane The Virgin" season 1 every Monday, 8 PM on the CW.
