Lindsay Lohan is making headlines once again for reasons that might be detrimental to her career.
The “Mean Girls” actress is reportedly set to go before a judge on Wednesday and show proof of completion of her 240 hours of court-ordered community service, but Lohan still has quite a long way to go before finishing the required hours, according to Fox News.
The judge could reportedly consider jail time, according to TMZ. The community service reportedly stems from her 2012 reckless driving case.
Lindsay Lohan was reportedly originally due to have finished by a court hearing on November 6, 2014, but her lawyer told her judge she had only done half the hours, which led to a new date being set, according to the website Durhamregion.
The 28-year-old will reportedly claim that she ran into difficulties because the community service center in London, England closed for two weeks over the festive season and she was hospitalized after contracting Chikungunya, an untreatable virus caused by mosquito bites. Lohan was reportedly hospitalized earlier this week due to a high fever and intense joint pain.
Prosecutors reportedly may not accept the excuse as she contracted the virus while she was on holiday on Bora Bora, when she technically could’ve been completing her community service.
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been in jail several times before. She was reportedly in jail for one day in August and then for just over an hour in November, but was released early due to overcrowding.
Lohan also reportedly served 14 days of a 90 day sentence due to jail overcrowding once again in 2010.
She has reportedly previously failed to follow court-ordered punishments as well. The “Machete” star reportedly failed to complete alcohol education programs in 2009 and 2010 and missed a court hearing after claiming she was stranded in Cannes, France after having her passport stolen.
Lohan was reportedly late for another heariing in 2013 after missing a flight, and had her probation revoked after cocaine was found her in her system.
