"American Idol" judge Keith Urban credited his wife Nicole Kidman for raising their kids well as her experience from a previous marriage with Tom Cruise reportedly came in handy.
In an interview with HuffPost Live, Keith Urban said that he learned a lot from Nicole Kidman in raising kids.
"I've got to say, I'm learning the most from Nicole about that," he said. "She raised two kids before her and I met and so much of what she has learned has come into play in our family in such a beautiful way."
The "Paddington" star has two adopted children, Connor and Isabella, with ex Tom Cruise. The couple separated in 2011.
In 2008, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman welcomed their daughter Sunday Rose via surrogate, two years after they tied the knot, said Daily Mail.
"I'm so glad that Nicole is their mum...I'm just very grateful," Keith Urban said, explaining that he grew up with just another sibling so he got most of his parenting skills from his wife.
Last month, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were also rumored to be having twins, according to Woman's Day. "It's just the most amazing baby news ever. Nic and Keith have wanted more kids for a while now. And to think they could be having twins is a miracle!" the source said.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban then reportedly turned to the same surrogate mother who delivered Faith in 2010. The unidentified woman then suggested potential candidates to carry their child.
The source added: "Nic feels comfortable with the surrogate they eventually chose. It was a difficult choice but they went with the one who seemed to have the more relaxed personality. They want the pregnancy to be as stress-free as possible for their babies and the woman carrying them."
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have been hounded with split rumors last year, citing their busy schedules as a primary reason. But they seemed to have surmounted those rumors as they are still stronger than ever.
