Here's how to unlock every character, game mode and levels in the game, courtesy of Cheat Code Central.

Hero mode

Successfully complete the game on any difficulty to unlock the Hero difficulty.

Second Gold Skultulas

Successfully complete the game on any difficulty to unlock the second Gold Skultulas.

Max Apothecary level

Defeat 50 Skulltula to unlock a max Apothecary level.

Bonus characters

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character:

Agitha: Win the battle on Square 7, 4 in Adventure mode (requires Water Bomb item card to be used on the rock).

Darunia: Successfully complete Death Mountain.

Fi: Successfully complete Skyloft.

Ganondorf: Successfully complete the second Valley Of Seers.

Ghirahim: Win the battle on Square 3, 7 in Adventure mode (requires Candle item card to be used on one of the trees).

Impa: Successfully complete Hyrule Field.

Lana: Successfully complete Faron Woods.

Midna: Successfully complete Twilight Field.

Ruto: Win the battle on Square 10, 5 in Adventure mode (requires Power Bracelet item card to be used on the rock).

Sheik: Successfully complete Eldin Caves.

Zant: Win the battle on Square 3, 3 in Adventure mode (requires Digging Mitts item card to be used on the "X" mark).

Zelda: Successfully complete Lake Hylia, Palace Of Twilight, and Sealed Grounds.
