"Once Upon a Time" season 4 spoilers reveal that Captain Hook will return the favor and protect Emma's heart as Patrick Fischler will join the show as Gorin.

According to the spoilers that creator Adam Horowitz told TVLine for "Once Upon a Time" season 4, "The tables are turned (when) Hook, after having Emma return his heart, will now have to fight to protect Emma's heart."

Fans would remember during the winter finale when Emma helped Hook get his heart back.

In an earlier interview with ET Online, Jennifer Morrison said that not having a heart didn't stop Captain Hook from loving Emma.

"You have to look at Regina and look at the rules of the heart stuff: When she removed her own heart in order for her not to be vulnerable, that didn't mean that she still didn't love Henry and she still didn't love Robin Hood, she just still didn't have the heart in her chest," she said.

"Once Upon a Time" season 4, episode 13 spoilers, however, are not clear if Horowitz is being literal-like Emma's heart will be physically stolen-or being figurative, like Hook having another rival for Emma's affections.

Inquistr noted that there are several malevolent characters, specifically Cruella de Vil, Maleficent or Ursula, who want nothing more than the heart of the savior.

While the Disney versions of Cruella de Vil portrayed him as an evil character but very much human, co-creator Edward Kitsis earlier claimed that she would be much more powerful in "Once Upon a Time."

Meanwhile, "Mad Men" actor Patrick Fischler was cast in a recurring role for "Once Upon a Time."

"Fischler's character comes across as well-intentioned but is actually a quick-witted, arrogant man with reckless impulses," TVLine reported. "He will appear in both the fairytale land and Storybrooke."

Watch out for "Once Upon a Time" season 4 spoilers which will be published when they come along. The ABC show will return on March 1.
