New "Frozen 2" rumors suggest a new addition to the sequel's cast!
According to new reports, Disney execs have been considering Jennifer Lawrence for a part in the highly anticipated follow-up flick. And while the reports sound more like a rumor as of the moment, here's what the tabloids are saying about the new development:
"Jen's husky rendition of 'The Hanging Tree' in Mockingjay Part 1 surprised everyone," an insider told OK mag. "Now execs [at Disney] think she could be the new Kristen Bell."
"She's such a relevant star," the source added. "She'd bring tons of fans to the next film."
Apart from JLaw, previous reports have linked Emily Blunt to the sequel as well. However, the "Into The Woods" actress has denied any participation in the future release.
"No, no! That [series] is for my friend Kristen Bell, who just CRUSHED it, and I am so happy for her. So no. I don't know. There's just never going to be another Elsa and an Anna. There's just can't," Emily said.
It seems that the sequel might far from reality as of writing. Disney has hit the jackpot with "Frozen," and they're definitely making sure to get the sequel right or it will ruin the impact the first movie has made. Disney however confirmed that the short "Frozen Fever" has been slated for a spring 2015 release, as well as Frozen books.
Hallels reported that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their roles in the planned short.
In an interview published on Hallels, Disney's Bob Iger mentioned that "In order to make the perfect movie sequel, the filmmakers have to write the perfect follow-up story for it. Otherwise, 'Frozen' won't be as good anymore and that would surely disappoint everyone."
Meanwhile, fans are also rooting for a nearly impossible team-up to happen in "Frozen 2." What others dubbed as "Jelsa," a select few have been clamouring for Jack Frost and Queen Elsa to have a movie together.
Do you think the team-up will work? Sound off below!
