Both Samsung tablets have 8.4 inch screens, but they have different designs as the Galaxy Tab Pro has a Super clear LCD screen that can render a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a 359 ppi pixel density. Its physical dimension are 219 x 128.5 x 7.2 mm, and weighs 331 grams. The Galaxy Tab S is equipped with a Super AMOLED screen that can render around 1600 x 2560 pixels at 359 ppi. Its dimensions are 212.8 x 125.6 x 6.6 mm, and its lighter at 294 grams.

According to stats from GSMArena, the Galaxy Tab S has two sets of processors: a quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7, which they are powered by a Exynos 5 Octa 5420, and Mali-T628 MP6. Its RAM capacity is at 3B, and its internal memories are 16, and 32GB, which can be expanded at 128GB with a microSD card.

The Galaxy Tab Pro on the other hand, as quad-core processor at 2.3 GHz, paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, and Adreno 330 GPU. The tablet has 2GB of RAM, and its internal memories are also 16 and 32GB, but can only expand up to 64GB only.

Both Samsung tablets have also 8MP primary cameras, but the secondary camera of the Galaxy Tab Pro is at 2.1MP, while the Galaxy Tab S is only 2MP. The battery of the Galaxty S is powerful at 4900 mAh, while the Galaxy Tab Pro is at 4800 mAh.

Amazon .com stated that Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 16GB with WiFi 4G variant is around $431, while BestBuy.com claim that the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 16GB with WiFi cost only $400.
