Chris Brown was reportedly expected to go on his 26-stop “Between the Sheets” tour with Kendrick Lamar this week, but the “Loyal” singer has announced that the dates have to be pushed back.
The 25-year-old singer reportedly took to Instagram on Monday to explain that he was unable to complete his community service and can’t travel for the upcoming tour dates, according to the NY Daily News.
“I would first like to apologize to all the fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years. The beginning of the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now. The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service,” the troubled singer wrote on his Instagram account.
He continued, “I promise that I am busting my a-- doing it everyday until it's complete. This is the most disappointing news I've gotten in a while. Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on.”
"Out of 1,000 hours I only have 100 left. I will work my ass off to complete it and I will be on that stage. Once again I'm sorry for the delay. I love yall! We will let yall know the dates that are changed. It's not cancelled. Just moved around a couple weeks,” concluded Chris Brown, which he captioned along with a picture of his head hanging.
The tour was reportedly originally set to kick off today in Hampton, VA and wrap at the Forum in Inglewood on March 8, according to the LA Times. Earlier this month, Brown’s probation was reportedly revoked because he violated orders by leaving Los Angeles County to perform at a San Jose nightclub.
New tour dates have reportedly yet to be announced.
