Can there still be hope for die-hard fans waiting for a "Half Life 3" release date announcement?
Recent reports are suggesting they rest their case as Valve co-founder Gabe Newell has released a statement that the highly anticipated release is not in production, and should the game materialize, it won't be anytime soon.
However the Valve exec also shared that they were quite surprised to see the clamour for the 3rd installment. Could this eventually coerce the developers to eventually produce "Half Life 3?"
"But the takeaway from this is the fact that Newell did not deny the possibility of production. He simply meant it's not 'currently in production,'" Ecumenical News reported.
"He also admitted that they can consider creating the game due to the very strong interest shown by fans. So, if fans are going to keep up the clamor for a sequel, the big bosses at Valve may just listen and give in."
In an article published by Motoring Crunch, it was suggested that fans' consipracy theories could actually have a hand in the "Half Life 3" release date announcement.
"There are two things Half Life fans can learn from this. The first is that Valve likes to announce an upcoming title in a fun way and the second is that Valve is probably waiting for fans to come out with the right theory before confirming Half Life 3 to be in production."
"With that being said, fans of the Half Life franchise shouldn't stop coming up with conspiracy theories for Half Life 3."
