CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin has been cast in the upcoming two-episode special drama, “Thank You, Son.”
“Thank You, Son” will explore the sensitive issue of entrance exams and students who struggle to pass them. Lee Jung Shin leads the cast as a student who has repeatedly failed the college entrance exam, leading him to retake the test. He is joined by Ahn Jae Min (You’re My Only Love).
"Thank You, Son" also examines the impact that repeatedly failing the college entrance exam has on student's families. The greed surrounding the exam preparation process and its toll on the family dynamic will be explored over the course of two episodes.
The cast includes several high-profile actors including Lee Dae Yeon (Spy), Lee Ah Hyun (Tomorrow’s Cantabile), Choi Jin Ho (Liar’s Game, The Heirs), Yoon Yoo Sun (High School King of Manners), and Kim Ji Young (Everybody Kimchi).
Lee Jung Shin previously starred in the 2013 historical drama “The Blade and Petal” as Shi Woo, a master swordsman who served as one of the youngest guards in the court of the princess. He followed his role in "The Blade and Petal" by portraying a supporting character in the 2014 melodrama “Temptation.”
Lee Jung Shin is the bassist of CNBLUE, one of the most well regarded pop-rock groups in Korea. In 2014, CNBLUE released the hit extended play album "Can't Stop."
“Thank You, Son” will air on February 11 and 12 on KBS, following “The King’s Face.”
