"Fashion Police" host Giuliana Rancic's absence at the recent SAG Awards red carpet was questioned by followers of the fashion-critique show. According to a report from Daily Mail, her slot was filled in by Maria Menounos, who unfortunately got dissed by several fans.

The "Fashion Police" host got news through Twitter of how viewers were looking for her at the SAG Awards red carpet. The star-studded event was held last Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Giuliana Rancic then explained that she excused herself from the ceremony to go on "much needed" vacation. Based on her social media posts, the 40-year-old host was on a Mexican getaway with her husband, Bill Rancic, and their son Duke.

"Seeing all of your super sweet tweets," Giuliana Rancic tweeted to her over 3 million followers.

"Was still on much needed vacay yesterday & missed u all too!"

"See u at Grammys red carpet. Love u all!," she added.

The "Fashion Police" hosts's replacement, "Extra" mainstay Maria Menounos, was joined at the SAG Awards red carpet by mainstay Kelly Osbourne. Another staple during E! red carpet coverage is Ryan Seacrest, who was also missing at the event. The famous host reportedly had to shoot episodes for "American Idol" and was replaced by Ross Matthews.

Unfortunately for Giuliana Rancic's substitute, Maria Menounos received a lot of negative feedback online for her SAG Awards red carpet coverage.

"It takes Maria Menounos to realize what a national treasure Giuliana Rancic is," said Mic News writer Jordan Valinsky.

"Maria Menounos sucks as the red carpet host. Where is Ryan Seacrest and Guliana Rancic?? #ERedCarpet #SAGAwards," wrote a Twitter user named @leesh_p.

Prior to "Fasion Police" host Giuliana Rancic's absence at the SAG Awards red carpet coverage, recent "Fashion Police" news reported how the show returned last Jan. 12 after a four month hiatus.

The hit E! series had a Golden Globes 2015 red carpet review, and Hollywood Life reported how the program began with new host Kathy Griffin remembering Joan Rivers. The former host and iconic comedienne died last Sept. 4 after a botched throat procedure at a New York Upper East Side clinic named Yorkville Endoscopy.
