One Direction’s Niall Horan reportedly recently suffered a heartbreak after the end of his relationship with Ellie Goulding, according to The Inquisitr.

Meghan Trainor has shown interest in the now single British singer during a recent interview, which has fans wondering if the two will actually start dating.

“One Direction, give me the blonde one!,” stated the “All About That Bass” singer during an interview with Capital FM, according to Cambio.

She added, “He’s a gentleman. All the other boys walked by and he came up to me, I got swept off my feet [by his Irish charm]!”

Despite Trainor’s interest in “funny, normal, nice people,” Horan reportedly might remain single for a while.

“I think he’s doing the right thing being single right now,” close friend Marvin Humes told Heat magazine.

He added, “He’ll settle down with the right person at the right time, I’m sure.”

Horan and Goulding reportedly still remain friends after their reported tumultuous relationship. The “Love Me Like You Do” singer reportedly caused a riff between Horan and his friend and fellow singer Ed Sheeran by allegedly dating both guys.

Sheeran reportedly hinted about the infidelity in his song “Don’t.”

Horan and Sheeran are reportedly now on better terms, even sharing a playful smooch to show fans they’re they’ve mended their friendship last September.
