Shakira's new baby boy with her long-time love Gerard Piqué is finally born!
Although she had to go through a Cesarean operation in Barcelona, Spain, the world star and her second son, named Sasha Piqué Mebarak, are safe and "in excellent health," OK Magazine reported.
In fact, the proud mother shared her son's birth to the world via her official website. In the announcement, she disclosed that the name she and her football star partner chose for their second son is of Greek and Russian origin which "means 'defender of mankind' and 'warrior.'"
They welcomed Shakira's new baby boy on Jan. 29 at 9:54 pm.
Although no photo of the little tyke has been revealed yet, Piqué's father reportedly told Hello! that Milan's little brother bear similar features to his daddy.
"They've told me he looks like Gerard. (Their first son) Milan looked like Shakira when he was born but this one looks more like his father," Amador Bernabéu told the magazine. He has reportedly seen a photo of Shakira's new baby boy.
Meanwhile, older brother Milan just turned two last Jan. 22. Both boys were born in the same hospital, according to Billboard. Paparazzi swarmed the "usually quiet area" as soon as news of the "Hips Don't Lie" singer going into labor was leaked.
The 37-year-old blond bombshell met her 27-year-old boyfriend during the 2010 Wold Cup. They started dating and eventually welcomed their first son, Milan, in 2013.
The "Waka Waka" singer previously confirmed her second pregnancy through the Spanish Cosmopolitan. She also added on Twitter, "Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you all for your well wishes!"
Will Shakira's new baby boy be followed up with another tot soon? She did tell Latina magazine last April that she wanted "my own futbol team" with Piqué.
