The decision to undergo a sex change took about a decade as Bruce Jenner will reportedly chronicle his "journey" in a TV docuseries.
The report from TMZ said that the Olympian's family is initiating the leak to the press regarding Bruce Jenner's sex change.
"Our sources say Bruce is now far along in the process, has undergone various procedures and psychological counseling, and is ready to show his journey to the world," the report said. "Our sources say it's so far along his docuseries will air as early as May."
Although the family is generally supportive, not everybody is on board Bruce Jenner's sex change plans, particularly Kris Jenner who "freaked out" when she found out.
Meanwhile, the gossip news site talked to a "leader in the transgender community" who claimed that they knew for about a year that Bruce Jenner is transitioning into a woman. The biggest clue was when he had his laryngeal shave procedure.
In another report, Bruce Jenner's sex change is reportedly going to be chronicled in a docuseries.
"We're told the footage is a very personal look from Bruce's vantage point of the process of changing," it said. "Multiple sources say the documentary will include interaction with Bruce's kids and ex-wife Kris and how they are receiving the news."
Kim Kardashian defended Bruce Jenner's defense following the sex change rumors. In an interview with Entertainment Tonigh, she said the whole family is behind the former Olympian.
"Well we support Bruce no matter what, so we were just at his house hanging out and we wanted to take a picture, that was not like a secret message like, 'We support Bruce.' Of course we support Bruce 100 percent," she said.
As to the sex change rumors surrounding Bruce Jenner, Kim Kardashian said, "I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right," she says. "I feel like that's his journey to talk about."
