New game details and updates for Capcom's longest reigning arcade fighting video game, Street Fighter 5 have been revealed.
Capcom has recently showcased another gameplay demo for Street Fighter 5 i the Taipei Game Show 2015 as Segment Next reports, that Street Fighter creator Yoshinori Ono wants to bring more young gamers to the franchise through Street Fighter 5, and he aims to boost the tournament scenes in the game.
Ono also adds that he wanted to improve the netcode for their fighting games.
"We were able, with Street Fighter X Tekken, to develop new netcode that was a generational leap above what we’d done previously but were unable to work that code into Ultra [Street Fighter 4] since the underlying tech is so different,” says Ono. “I’d certainly like to continue breaking new ground in this arena."
According to reports from CrossMaps, Ono and his team have been diligent in working on the game's visual effects, and graphics of the game.
"We've been hard at work on Street Fighter 5, and we promise this game, this product will be the one that brings fighting games into the next era,"
What we know so far in the game is that it is intended to be a PS4 and PC exclusive game, and the roster is consist of fan favorites Ryu, Chun Li, and the returning Charlie Nash.
But, new information regarding the Street Fighter 5's roster have been revealed as Shoryuken.com reported, that Yoshinori Ono wanted minimize the characters in the game to give chance to everyone new to the series. Reports from Famitsu further revealed that Capcom is considering the opinions of different community forum sites, regarding which Street Fighter character should return in the game.
One such forum site is EventHubs.com , in which they've created a survey on which character should join Street Fighter 5.
Some of the listed characters include Alex, Q, R.Mika,Karen, Urien, Oro, Juri, Sean, Eagle, and Sodom. Could one of these characters make a comeback in the series?
We'll just have to wait for more updates from Capcom, as Venture Capital reported that more game details will be revealed in this year's E3 2015, and EVO 2015.
Street Fighter 5 is tentatively slated on March 31, 2016 on Amazon.com at price of $59.99.
